The following guidelines govern submission of articles for publication on the SkillUpMastery.com website and/or newsletters. These guidelines are intended to be flexible as we want to work with our expert and guest contributors to make sure their submissions are valuable to them and our community.

Content and Length

Content should provide readers with useful information related to professional development strategies, practices, and techniques.

  • Principles-based – Articles should be based on sound professional development principles. Preference will be given to how-to articles including real-world examples and experiences supporting the principles presented. We do not accept press releases or overtly promotional material.
  • Original Content – Submitted articles must be original works by the contributing author. Articles published by SkillUpMastery.com should not to be published elsewhere. Authors are encouraged publish teasers on their websites, newsletters, social media, etcetera with a link to the complete article. However, the bulk of the article must be content exclusively published by SkillUpMastery.com.
  • High Quality – Submitted articles must be grammatically correct and free of spelling errors.
  • Length – Articles should be 700 – 1,200 words in length.

Copyright

Authors retain the copyrights for all original submissions. Contributors grant SkillUpMastery.com the irrevocable rights to publish, in perpetuity, any submitted material for reading, download, or other use by any consumer of the SkillUpMastery.com media asset. The author certifies to SkillUpMastery.com that their submission is original and that they have not violated any copyrights.

Editorial Rights

SkillUpMastery.com’s editorial staff reserves the right to edit for length, clarity, and/or readability any article submitted for publication. Our editorial staff will make the final decision on when any article will be published.

Recognition and Promotional Opportunity

Authors will receive recognition and promotion via a 2 – 3 sentence ‘About the Author’ section at the end of their contributed article. This section may include a 75 x 96 px headshot photo of the author and 1 – 2 hyperlinks to the author’s biography, and business, or book website.

Publication

Submission of a guest author article does not guarantee publication. A $30 USD publishing fee applies.
